Brass + Geometry

i love brass fixtures and all of the industrial lighting out now, so when i found this pendant at anthropologie i was in love.  i wanted it for the boys room though, so i didn't want to invest much since they've been know to swing from chandeliers...

anthropologie euclidean brass pendant

so the search began for something cheaper...

then it dawned on me that i already had a similar piece
hanging around, so i decided to make my own...

i found the perfect pendant to use inside it
and if you don't have a spare dodecahedron lying around
here's some inspiration...

just the bulb on the fabric cord, especially cool grouped together.

on it's own and could be spray painted any color to fit your style

and if you're not the diy type and looking for a cheaper
version of the first, there's this one i discovered later.

stay tuned to see the one i made installed in the boys shared space

  1. Just came across your blog on instagram that led me to this post. I love the diy and to be honest I like the diy version better. The urban outfitters pendant couldn't be any similar other than a longer Edison bulb! Great post. I have a design blog as well!
