The Awe Moment

it's my favorite part of christmas morning.  that moment they tip toe down the stairs and their eyes light up.  to me it's not about how much you spent or the number of presents... it's all about the presentation.  you can create a lot of magic with little money and some imagination.  here's a range of ideas that can be easily customized to fit your own family...

simple or elaborate, big or small it can be done with a couple chairs,
blankets and pillows, and even twinkle lights.  lace tent via a cup of jo

cut paper into fringe or use rows of ribbon hung on the wall
or in a doorway for a grand entrance.  this beautiful leather fringe

small items in mass can have a big impact, especially when you add
a backdrop like this. cityscape wall decals via les enfants du design

tie string or ribbon around small toys and turn them into ornaments and
even hide them in the tree to make it like a scavenger hunt.
